Honey Buttermilk biscuits

  • 2 1/2 cups AP flour
  • 2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cold salted stick butter
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2-3 tbsp milk

Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cold cubed butter in a bowl until crumbly

Add buttermilk, honey, and milk to the bowl

Use a spatula to stir until combined

Add the dough to a floured surface and create a rectangle with the dough (more flour will need to be sprinkled on top)

Fold the left side to the middle, then the right side to the middle

Rotate the dough so that it’s horizontal

Flatten into a rectangle again and repeat the same folding process 2 more times

Form into a rectangle about 1 inch thick

Cut biscuits with a round cookie cutter (a cup can be used if you don’t have this)

Add biscuits to a buttered cast iron skillet

Bake at 425 for 15 minutes then broil for 2

Melt 2-4 tbsp butter and honey together and pour over biscuits then serve
