Patties

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Sauce (serves 2)

  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp pickle relish
  • 1 tsp Dijon
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika

For sandwich:

Caramelized onion

Sourdough

Cheese of choice

Start by combining all sauce ingredients

Mix the patty ingredients in a bowl then shape

Add to a skillet flattening as you cook

(You want these to be super thin)

Once cooked through set aside and assemble sandwich

Add butter to a skillet and heat over medium

Add sauce to the top of one sourdough slice, followed by caramelized onions, then the patty, add cheese and top with the other sourdough slice

Place assembled sandwich in the skillet and heat on both sides until bread is crispy and cheese is melted

Serve with more sauce on the side
