- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup brown sugar (203 grams)
- 1/2 cup white sugar (100 grams)
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups flour (300 grams)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 3 cups rolled oats (240 grams)
- 1 cup raisins (soak in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain and pat dry)
Cream butter and sugars together in a large bowl or mixer
Add eggs, molasses, and vanilla and mix
Add the dry ingredients (not the oats) and mix until combined
Add the oats and raisins and mix until combined
Chill the dough for at least 1 hour before baking (if you skip this step cookies will be flat)
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes
Optional add flakey slat once done baking
