Healthier McGriddle (single serve)

Pancake batter:

  • 2 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp oat flour
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • Pinch of baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 tsp apple cider vinegar

Sandwich ingredients:

  • An egg cooked with melted cheddar
  • Chicken sausage patty (or regular sausage patty)
  • Cream cheese (optional for spreading on pancake)
  • Maple syrup

Combine all pancake batter ingredients in a bowl and mix

Add batter to a greased pan (makes 2 smaller pancakes)

Cook pancakes

Set aside and prepare remaining sandwich ingredients

Assemble the sandwich and serve with maple syrup
