Baked chicken nuggets

(Chick-fil-a style)

Marinade:

  • Chicken tenders sliced into nuggets (around 409 grams)
  • 1/2 cup pickle juice (120 grams)
  • 1/2 cup milk (120 grams)
  • 1 tsp powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Mix all of this together and marinate in the fridge covered in a bowl for minimum 30 minutes.

Coating:

  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour (90 grams)
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Quick homemade chick-fil-a sauce:

  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp bbq sauce
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • Tiny squeeze lemon

Optional crisp boost: mix 1 tbsp of marinade into flour mixture

Once chicken is done marinating mix all coating ingredients together in a bowl

Dip the chicken in the flour mixture to coat then place on a parchment lined pan

Once all pieces are coated spray with oil lightly

Bake at 425 for 15 minutes

Flip chicken nuggets and bake for another 15-20 minutes

Broil 1-2 minutes for golden crisp edges

Make your sauce and serve with baked fries/sides of choice
